End of an Era — and the Beginning of a Glow
Today, we watched a piece of history come down. The Moss Rock Tacos & Tequila neon sign — that bold, glowing emblem of fun nights, family dinners, and countless margaritas — was carefully removed from its home above our door. The last flicker of that light marked the end of an unforgettable seven-year chapter filled with tacos, tequila, and laughter echoing through The Preserve.
It was bittersweet watching the vinyl logo peel away from the glass — a small but powerful reminder that even the best eras eventually make room for something new.
But endings are never truly endings for us… they’re just part of the evolution.
Now, a new light shines in its place — the soft, inviting glow of Vecchia Gelato & Café.
A Labor of Love and Light
Creating our new neon signs was more than just design — it was a labor of love. Both Vecchia Pizzeria and Vecchia Gelato & Café signs were made using authentic, old-school neon craftsmanship.
Traditional neon signs aren’t mass-produced; they’re handmade art forms. Each tube of glass must be heated and bent by an expert craftsman — a delicate process that requires patience, precision, and passion. Real neon gas itself only glows a reddish-orange hue; every other color you see dancing across the night sky comes from other noble gases like argon, or from special phosphorescent coatings inside the glass.
The very first neon sign was created by Georges Claude in Paris in 1910, and by the 1920s, neon had become the heartbeat of city streets — from Parisian cafés to Las Vegas boulevards. They’ve always been more than light; they’re emotion in glass form. And now, that glow lives here with us — guiding you to your next Italian feast.
As one sign dims and another shines, we carry the memories of Moss Rock Tacos with gratitude and pride. Every taco, every laugh, every toast built the foundation for what’s next — Vecchia Gelato & Café.
A new era begins — one filled with espresso, Italian street food, handmade pastries, and sweet, creamy scoops of family-made gelato.
So when you see that warm neon glow lighting up the night in The Preserve, follow it.
It’ll lead you right to your next taste of Italy — and the next chapter of our story.
Follow the glow to your next Italian feast.
