Vecchia Gelato & Café is more than just coffee and gelato — it’s the next delicious chapter in the Tamburello family story.
Husband-and-wife duo Chef Benard and Brianna Tamburello, the hearts and hands behind Vecchia Pizzeria, dreamed of creating a place that captured the softer side of Italian life — where afternoons are sweet, the espresso is bold, the spritzes sparkle, and street food is served with the same care as a Sunday family meal.
This café was born from their shared love of authentic flavors, community connection, and the joy of gathering over something truly delicious.


Why Gelato?
Gelato isn’t just Italian ice cream — it’s an entirely different experience. Unlike traditional ice cream, gelato has a lower fat content, is churned with less air (giving it a denser, creamier texture), and is served at a slightly warmer temperature that lets every flavor shine brighter.

The Café Experience
Here, we scoop delicate family-made gelato, pull every espresso shot with intention, and serve Italian street food favorites that transport you straight to the bustling piazzas of Italy. From porchetta sandwiches layered with tender, seasoned pork to focaccia flatbreads fresh from the oven, from golden fried mozzarella with a perfect crunch to arancini with creamy risotto centers, every bite tells a story rooted in tradition.
And because no Italian café is complete without a little sweetness, our pastry case overflows with classics like Bomboloni dusted in sugar and filled with cream, flaky Sfogliatella with its signature lobster shell shape, pillowy Ciambella perfect for dipping in espresso, and indulgent Maritozzo stuffed with clouds of whipped cream. Each dessert is made to be savored slowly, just like it would be in a Roman café.
